Chicken Tortilla

People tend to think that just because they are eating clean, they are unable to enjoy foods they've enjoyed in the past.  That's simply not true.  This chicken torilla recipe is a perfect example of that.  The chicken is obviously a great source of lean protein while the whole wheat tortilla provides excellent complex carbs. This chicken tortilla recipe goes perfectly with the southwestern salad and the salsa recipes listed on this site.

1 skinless chicken breast (4oz)
1 low fat whole wheat tortilla
½ tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried chives
1 tsp of chopped cilantro
½ cup grated non-fat cheddar cheese
½ chopped tomato
1 tbsp tomato sauce


Mix spices with tomato sauce in a bowl. Spread on tortilla, add cooked and sliced chicken breast then sprinkle on cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
