What to pack for the gym
When you set fitness goals, you need to be prepared. Prepared in knowing what to eat and when. Prepared in putting together your workout plans. Prepared in planning and cooking meals.
The same should be said in determining what to packfor your next workout. As the boy scouts say, be prepared and if you have everything you need, there’s nothing getting in your way of a great workout. This includes everything from equipment to your post workout meal. Consider the following as a checklist:
• Runners and socks
• Shorts and top
• Hoodie or sweatshirt (for warm up)
• Lock for locker
• Toiletries
• Extra towel
• Hat (for the days you can’t shower)
• Body cleansing wipe (see above)
• Weight lifting gloves
• iPod
• workout journal and pen
• water bottle
• meal replacement bar (for when you can’t easily get to a post workout meal)
Your gym bag will become a good partner for you in your quest for optimal health and results. Take the time to make sure you have everything you need at the gym and the rest is up to you.
