Why You Still Have a Big Bum

It's not a problem unique to only a few select women - a big bum. The female body has a tendency to hold fat in a few key areas, including the butt, hips and waist. This look is referenced in a number of different ways, including the muffin top, the pear shape, the ass of spades and other spirit smashing terms.

So how do women all over the world respond in their efforts to lose bum fat? Well, many waste hundreds and even thousands of dollars on TV contraptions such as thigh masters, ab rollers, belly burners and other products that flush your money down the toilet. Others are more smart about it and use proven exercises that actually work different parts of your body, like squats, cable kick backs, etc. However, these exercises alone will result in your continuous enjoyment of excess fat in the places that keep you going back to the gym.

So what's the problem here? The problem is that you can't spot reduce fat . This means that if you have flabby arms, doing arm curls and tricep pressdowns alone will not result in toned and terrific arms. There's a reason why the guy that comes to the gym and does 200 crunches 3 times a week still has a big ol' beer belly. It's because he's not reducing the fat throughout his body, and although he may be getting stronger abs, it's buried underneath all that fat.

To lose fat, you need to realize a calorie deficiency. In other words, you need to burn more calories than you are consuming. So it goes without saying that to reduce bodyfat, and thus reduce fat on that problem area such as the butt, the key is in your nutritional approach. Not only must you eat the right amound of calories, but you also must eat the right amount of macronutrients, like protein, carbs and fat.

The bottom line is that only doing exercises targeting your butt will not result in successful fat loss on your rear end. You must increase your overall fat loss, which can only be done through sound eating and by increasing your metabolism, which best happens with a complete fitness regimen including multiple compound weight exercises.

The good news is that you can definitely lose weight fat in your trouble areas. The bad news is that there are no easy short cuts, particularly when it comes to efforts to lose bum fat. How you go forward is completely up to you.
